The head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, has bragged that his team will win both of its upcoming games against South Africa and the Benin Republic.
The three-time African champions have drawn their first two matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, and they have yet to win.
On Friday, June 7, Finidi’s team will play the South African Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Three days later, on matchday four, the Super Eagles would go to Abidjan to play the Squirrels.
Finidi thinks his squad will prevail in the games.
“We need to win these games in order for our group to feel at ease. During his Wednesday, May 22, media tour, the former Enyimba head coach stated, “I think we will win both games.”
“We need to have faith in our ability to succeed; the 2023 AFCON is over, and we must work hard to succeed once more.”
